Clinical massage therapy, also known as medical massage therapy, is a form of massage therapy that aims to maintain, develop, augment or rehabilitate a client's physical function. Clinical massage therapy manipulates muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia to further the healing process for injuries or chronic conditions, and to increase or restore a client's functionality.

Clinical massage therapy can be used to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions such as tendinitis, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica and lumbago. It also provides both physical and emotional relief for clients suffering from degenerative neurological disorders including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy.
